The Los Angeles Superior Court no longer provides court reporters for general jurisdiction civil matters, except in the writs departments –82, 85 and 86—located in the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

Court reporters for civil trials or law and motion are now the responsibility of the litigants. You may privately arrange for the appointment of a Court approved official court reporter pro tempore without a stipulation from the list of certified Court Reporters.
